Since the beginning of russian aggression the SBI has been investigating 1 thousand proceedings against traitors and collaborators (INFOGRAPHIC)

The State Bureau of Investigation continues to expose and bring to justice traitors and collaborators among former Ukrainian officials and law enforcement officers who defected to the enemy. Each traitor will be held accountable for their crimes according to the law.

In total, since February 24, 2022, the SBI has been investigating 1 thousand crimes against the national security, in particular 828 criminal proceedings on high treason ( Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), 132 criminal proceedings on collaboration ( Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), 10 criminal proceedings on accomplices of the aggressor state ( Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As a result of the SBI's work, 313 persons were reported suspected of committing treason, 70 persons were reported suspected of collaboration, more than 1 thousand people are being checked for involvement in treason and collaboration.
281 people are put on the wanted list, 65 proceedings under these articles have already been sent to court.

The largest number of proceedings was opened in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia regions, including the following facts:

• The SBI completed a special investigation against an official-defector, who helps occupants to steal water resources in Kherson, as well as against the head of the "Employment Center" in Luhansk;
• SBI detained customs officer who took a leading position in occupation administration of Kupiansk district;
• SBI detainedanother money collector for occupants from Kupiansk and others.
