The SBI is investigating more than 1,230 criminal proceedings on crimes against national security (INFOGRAPHICS)
The State Bureau of Investigation continues its systematic work on exposing crimes against the foundations of national security.
The main areas of SBI's work are exposing and prosecuting traitors, collaborators, saboteurs, investigating war crimes of the russian federation, tracing russian property for transfer to state ownership, and discovering arsenals of Russian ammunition.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, the SBI has been investigating 1,232 criminal proceedings for crimes against the foundations of national security.
Among them: 984 criminal proceedings on high treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), 200 criminal proceedings on collaboration (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), 15 criminal proceedings on aiding and abetting the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and others.
Based on the results of the investigations, 532 people were served suspicion notices, 323 people were put on the wanted list, and 1,325 people are being checked for involvement in treason and collaboration.
A total of 192 indictments have been submitted to court under these articles.
The largest number of proceedings were opened in Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
Among the most recent high-profile cases:
- The SBI prevented sabotage at Kurakhivska TPP and seized an explosives cache
- Traitor conducting mass searches and looking for "personnel" for the occupiers of Berdiansk district was exposed by the SBI
- The SBI has completed investigation of criminal actions of a traitor law enforcement officer who continues to "defend" the border between the "luhansk people's republic" and russia
- Tax officer from Kupiansk, who forced entrepreneurs to give money to occupants, may get life imprisonment
- The SBI served notice of suspicion to traitorous officers from Crimea, who participated in the destruction of residential areas in Mariupol
- The SBI detained a lieutenant colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine who leaked secret information to the enemy
and many others.
