Based on the SBI materials, three tax officers who failed to collect UAH 4 million in debts to the state from a company will be put on trial
The State Bureau of Investigation continues to expose and prosecute officials involved in causing millions of dollars in losses to the state budget of Ukraine.
The SBI has completed a pre-trial investigation against three employees of the state fiscal authority of Kirovohrad region, whose inaction caused the state budget to lose UAH 4 million. The indictments were sent to court.
It was established that the officials were appointed tax managers of a road construction company. They did not take any action to collect the existing debt from the company, which was later recognized as uncollectible.
Due to the inaction of the tax officers, the state budget lost almost UAH 4 million.
Three tax officers are accused of gross negligence that caused grave consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
All movable and immovable property of the suspects was seized to ensure compensation for the damage.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
Procedural supervision is carried out by the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office.
