Based on the SBI materials, three drug dealers who sold drugs in frontline areas will be tried

The SBI completed a pre-trial investigation into three members of an organised criminal group that set up a drug manufacturing and distribution channel in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

The indictment was sent to court.

It was established that the defendants grew and processed cultivated cannabis plants. They delivered the packaged "products" via postal services to Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

The SBI detained the defendants in October 2022.

During the searches at their residences, more than 200 kilograms of the drug substance were seized, with an estimated black market value of UAH 12 million.

The three men are accused of illegal acquisition and sale of a narcotic drug on a particularly large scale, committed by a repeated organised group (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Procedural supervision is provided by the Specialised Defence Prosecutor's Office of the Eastern Region.
