The head of the occupation Svatove district department of the so-called luhansk police departement and an employee of the Snihurivska correctional facility will be tried under the SBI materials
SBI officers have completed a special pre-trial investigation into another traitor from the Luhansk region. The former law enforcement officer sided with the russian federation in the early days of the occupation of the Svatove district.
After the full-scale invasion of the russian aggressor in March 2022, he did not hesitate to accept the offer of the occupiers to become the head of the Svatove district police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the lpr terrorist organisation.
It has been established that he has been diligently fulfilling his "duties", holding illegal meetings, briefings, discussions with local residents and warning them of their responsibility under russian law. The traitor 'warns' citizens against illegal activities that could be directed against the occupation authorities.
In addition, SBI officers completed a pre-trial investigation against an employee of the Snihurivska penal colony who worked for the occupiers after the russian invasion.
The indictment has been submitted to the court.
The chief inspector of the supervisory and security department of the Snihurivska correctional colony No. 5 voluntarily went over to the enemy and was appointed to a position in an illegally created body - deputy head of the regime and supervisory department of the Kherson pre-trial detention centre No. 1 of the Kherson Oblast Prison Service.
During the liberation of Kherson, in order to avoid responsibility for their actions, he and the occupiers were evacuated by bus to the territory not controlled by Ukraine.
The collaborators are accused of voluntarily taking up positions in illegal law enforcement bodies established in the temporarily occupied territory (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
They face up to 15 years' imprisonment.
