Based on materials of the SBI, a community representative from Ternopil region will be judged for helping to withdraw the draft dodgers from the register
The employees of the State Bureau of Investigation have completed a pre-trial investigation into a deputy of one of the territorial communities of Ternopil region who organized a scheme of illegal withdrawal of men from military registration by falsifying medical documents.
The indictment has been sent to the court.
The deputy sought out the conscripts who wanted to avoid mobilization. He promised to negotiate with employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center to provide them with falsified documents.
Subsequently, according to the established scheme, the Territorial Recruitment Center was to issue fake medical certificates of unfitness for service and, on their basis, illegally to withdraw the men from the register.
The cost of such “services” ranged from 8 to 10 thousand US dollars.
Law enforcement officers caught the deputy red-handed in June, 2025 while receiving part of the money – 4,5 thousand US dollars from one of his “clients”.
He will be judged under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—receiving unlawful benefits to influence decision-making. The article provides for up to 5 years of imprisonment.
The procedural guidance is provided by the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office.
