Based on the materials of the SBI, the court put the former Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on the wanted list in another criminal proceeding
Goloseevsky District Court of Kyiv put the former Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on the wanted list in another criminal proceeding. Also, the preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen.
This court decision will allow law enforcement agencies of Ukraine to petition the court for the extradition of the accused to Ukraine
The former Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is accused of inciting unauthorized interference in the work of the automated system "Treasury Client - Treasury" and aiding the chief accountant of the Constitutional Court (Parts 4, 5 Art. 27, Part 2 Art. 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for a sentence of imprisonment for up to 6 years.
On November 5, 2021, the SBI employees under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General sent an indictment in this case to the court.
It should be reminded, that the Podolsky District Court of Kyiv on July 29, 2022 already chose a preventive measure in the form of detention in another case in relation to the former Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and paid the amount of bail made for the accused to the state income.
Moreover, the Former Head gave false testimony in 2018 and 2019 in a case of unlawful acquisition of property assets of the Zuevskyi power engineering plant located in Zugres, Donetsk Region.
In this criminal proceeding, on May 27, 2022, the ex-head of the Constitutional Court was put on the international wanted list. The reason for his announcement on the international wanted list was the materials of the SBI on the identification of his location in Austria.
In October 2018, in one of the cafes in Kyiv, an ex-official, who at that time was in the position of the Deputy Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, bribed a witness in a criminal proceeding. The witness has to refuse to testify or to give "necessary" testimony for the benefit of the former Head of the Supreme State Court of Ukraine, who was in the status of a suspect.
