The SBI has initiated almost 2 thousand of criminal proceedings on the crimes against the National Security since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russian federation
The State Bureau of Investigation continues systematic work to expose state traitors and collaborators.
Within the framework of the criminal proceedings, evidence and witness statements are being collected, other materials are being processed. The materials will be used to prosecute those who betrayed Ukraine during the war.
According to some criminal proceedings, the courts have already assigned real terms of imprisonment to the detained defectors.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the SBI has completed and continues the investigation of 1 942 criminal proceedings regarding crimes against the National Security of Ukraine.
Among them:
1 501 criminal proceedings on high treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
348 criminal proceedings on the fact of collaboration (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
29 criminal proceedings on aiding and abetting the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and others.
Currently, according to the results of the pre-trial investigations:
922 people were served a notification of suspicion,
492 people were put on the wanted list,
1 142 people are being checked for involvement in high treason and collaboration,
647 indictments were sent to the court.
Among the recent examples of the effective work of the SBI in exposing traitors and collaborators:
The former law enforcement officer from the Kharkiv region, who was detained by the SBI for treason, will spend 15 years in prison.
The traitor from Kherson, who was sought out and detained by the SBI in Vinnytsia, will face the trial.
According to the materials of the SBI, the court deprivedof freedomfor 15 years the traitor – the former law enforcement officer from the Kupyan district of the Kharkiv region.
The further work continues.
It should be emphasized that crimes against the National Security do not have a statute of limitations!
