Balakliia: the SBI exposed two more traitors who helped occupants (VIDEO)

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russian troops, the State Bureau of Investigations has been investigating over 60 criminal proceedings against collaborators and traitors of Ukraine in Kharkiv region area in particular. A total of 33 persons were served notices of suspicion, 9 persons were detained.

After the de-occupation of the settlements of Kharkiv region, the SBI is actively implementing stabilization measures. In order to bring traitors to criminal responsibility, every fact of cooperation with the aggressor is being investigated and checked.

In particular, in Balakliia, the SBI employees detained a former forester, who was assigned by the occupants as the director of the local forestry. The traitor helped to organize the felling of trees to strengthen the positions of the invaders.

After the liberation of Balakliia, he was hiding. However, the SBI established his location and detained him.

Another traitor is a former law enforcement officer. After the invaders took over, he received a position in the so-called "people's police". The man patrolled and guarded administrative buildings, including those that were used by representatives of the occupation administration.

The former forester and former law enforcer was notified of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
