A senior district police officer of the occupation police of Kupyansk district, who was hiding in basements after the russians fled, will face trial

SBI employees completed the pre-trial investigation against a former law enforcement officer of Kharkiv region.

The indictment was sent to court.

After the occupation of the village of Dvorichna, Kupiansk district, the woman got a job in a local penal body.

The traitor prepared a complete set of documents and applied in writing to the so-called head of the occupation administration of Kharkiv region. To demonstrate the depth of her intentions and loyalty to the new leadership, she told him about all the local anti-terrorist operation participants and security forces she knew. She worked for the occupiers as a senior district police officer: she patrolled the streets, was on duty at the police station, and interviewed local residents.

After the de-occupation of the village, the woman began to hide in basements. Law enforcement officers found out where she was and detained her.

Thus, she is accused of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office is providing procedural supervision.

Earlier, the SBI completed a pre-trial investigation into a former law enforcement officer who, after Izyum's release, blew himself up on a mine set up by his "russian masters".
