The Podilskyi District Court of Kyiv has issued a restraining order against the former head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in the form of detention on warrants.
The same court's ruling was used to transfer to the state the penalty sum previously imposed on the defendant.

This court decision enables the prosecution to apply to the court for the extradition of the accused to Ukraine.
On May 25, 2021, investigators of the SBI with procedural guidance from the Office of the Prosecutor General sent to the court an indictment against the former Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
In October 2018, in one of the cafes in Kyiv, an ex-official, who at that time was in the position of the Deputy Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, bribed a witness in a criminal proceeding. The witness has to refuse to testify or to give "necessary" testimony for the benefit of the former Head of the Supreme State Court of Ukraine, who was in the status of a suspect.
In addition, the former Head of the CCU in 2018 and 2019 gave untruthful indications in the case of illegal seizure of property assets of Zuiv Energy and Mechanical Factory, which is located in the city of Zugresi, Donetsk region.
The former head of the CCU is charged with knowingly false testimony with the fabrication of prosecution or defense evidence (Part 2 Article 384 of the CC of Ukraine) and preclusion of appearance of a witness (Article 386 of the CC of Ukraine).
If the guilt is proven, the accused faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
