An interim measure in the form of detention under arrest was chosen for the SSU officer who worked for the russian special service

The interim measure in the form of detention until 13 September 2022 was chosen for the SSU officer who worked for the russian special service, without an alternative of bailment.

The SBI investigators informed the suspect of suspicion of three articles:

• Part 1 of Article 255 (creation, leadership of a criminal organization, and also or participation in such organization);
• Part 1 Article 111 (high treason);
• Part 5 Article 27, Part 1 Article 114 (providing information on state secrets or collecting such information to provide it to a foreign state).

It should be reminded, that on July 16 the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a special collaborative operation, which resulted in the exposure and arrest of a traitor of Ukraine, who was the head of the security services of the russian federation till March 2022.

Within the framework of criminal investigation, the fact of cooperation of the Service's officials with the representatives of special services of the russian federation was established. This information was confirmed by the investigations conducted by the SBI.

An SSU officer also provided russian special services with intelligence information against Ukraine. In particular, it was documented that he handed over information that is a state secret.

It was also established the direct participation of the suspect in the activities of a malignant organization, which was engaged in discrediting and fraudulent activities against Ukraine. The actions of the group were detrimental to the sovereignty, territorial integrity, defense, state, economic, and information security of our country.

The SBI employees detained the intruder. Investigative actions are ongoing, including measures to detain and denounce suspicion of other participants of the organized group.
