They worked for the Military-Industrial Complex of russia: the SBI completed an investigation against the leaders of the concern, that had been trading with the enemy even during the war

The employees of the SBI have completed the pre-trial investigation against suspects from among the top management of the concern, who had been selling components for the military-industrial complex of the russian federation.

After the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the businessmen delivered to the aggressor country products worthed more than 160 million UAH.

In June 2023, the employees of the Bureau detained the owners and top management of the concern, who were providing products to the russian military-industrial complex even after the invasion. Including the organizer of the criminal scheme, the former People's deputy of Ukraine, the member of the political party “Party of the Regions”. The activities of the concern were blocked in November 2022.

During the investigation, books glorifying russia and promoting its imperial narratives, russian decorations and even a Komsomol badge, which was carefully kept among valuables, were found at the former People's deputy of Ukraine. Russian passports and treaties with the aggressor country were found in the possession of some suspects.

This is one of the largest implementations of the SBI in a number of many other successful operations in this area.

The industrial-innovative group of companies owned by the family of the former People's deputy of Ukraine had been providing state-owned enterprises of russia with highly efficient units, aggregates, parts of pneumatic equipment since 2014.

The compressors and compressor units are components used in the composition of combat rail missile systems "Molodets", which are on combat duty as part of the strategic missile forces in russia.

In addition, they are used as part of special armored trains, which are designed for engineering intelligence of railway routes, mine clearance, combat protection and support of military echelons.

Thus, the products that were sent to the aggressor country are used in the military sphere, including in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia areas during the aggressive war against our country.

The concern was ranked on the second place in the supply of products for russian companies, exporting 95% of products manufactured in Ukraine.

According to the results of the investigation, the SBI investigators established that the criminal organization included at least 11 people, from among the management of the industrial and innovative group of companies and citizens of the russian federation, who were served notifications of suspicion for creating a criminal organization and aiding the aggressor state (Article 255, Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the Articles provides for imprisonment for up to 12 years with confiscation of property.

The materials regarding 4 defendants were disjointed to a separate proceeding.

Regarding 7 suspects, the procedural head considered the evidence collected during the pre-trial investigation sufficient to complete the pre-trial investigation and provided the investigator with an order to notify the suspects and defenders of the completion of the pre-trial investigation and provide access to the case file.

After familiarizing the defence with the materials of the criminal proceedings, the indictment will be sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
