Employees of the SBI donated over 100 litres of blood for co-brother-defenders of the Motherland (VIDEO)
The State Bureau of Investigation employees massively joined the donation event and donated blood to сo-brothers from the Armed Forces of Ukraine wounded in the war zone. This time over 200 employees of the SBI participated in the event on World Blood Donor Day. They donated about 100 litres of blood at specialised medical centres in Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine.
"There are donors in the State Bureau of Investigation who have been donating blood systematically on their initiative for years. Therefore, participation in today's action is not the first one. Our employees are always ready to help when it concerns the lives of our defenders," - stressed the SBI Director Oleksii Sukhachov.
He noted that among the employees of the SBI, some perform combat missions in eastern Ukraine. Thus they are well aware of the situation when a seriously wounded person needs an immediate blood transfusion.
"The needs of wounded colleague-military personnel are of particular concern to us," notes the Director of the Bureau.
Everyone must comply with a special regime for donating blood or blood components on the eve of the procedure. Medics will check your general health before blood, plasma and platelets are drawn.
The blood draw procedure takes about 15 minutes. During this time, the donor gives around 450 ml of blood. However, numbers cannot measure the invaluable contribution to the recovery of comrades-in-arms.
Every citizen during the war must do everything possible for our Victory. And blood donation for military personnel is an essential and urgent social issue.
