Investigators of the Territorial Department of the SBI located in Mykolaiv exposed two residents of the Odesa region who organized illegal business and "assisted" conscripts to travel to Moldova. They took USD 4.5 thousand from the "client" for their services

The SBI decisively continues to block such channels under martial law.

SBI employees detained the offenders near the state border after receiving money from another client.

Notifying the detainees of suspicion of illegal movement of persons across the state border of Ukraine for mercenary motives (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and choosing a measure of restraint are currently being considered.

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to nine years.

Also, information on the participation of law enforcement officers of the Odesa region in the illegal business is being verified.

The Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office carries out procedural guidance for pre-trial investigations in criminal proceedings.

Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, the SBI has intensified its work on the Ukrainian borders. In particular, the channels of illegal crossing of the border by men trying to evade mobilization are exposed. In total, more than 20 such channels have been identified in different regions of Ukraine.

Unfortunately, at a time when the vast majority of Ukrainian citizens are ready to defend the Motherland, some want to escape, and those who want to earn extra money. The Bureau is decisively terminating such actions in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies.

Together to victory!
