Indictment against traitor who carried out filtration measures in the temporarily occupied territory is sent to court

The State Bureau of Investigations continues its systematic work on exposing traitors who decided to defect to the enemy. Each such fact is thoroughly investigated and documented. All collaborators will be brought to criminal responsibility.

The SBI employees completed a special investigation against a law enforcement officer from Donetsk region, who is accused of high treason.

After the capture of Mariupol district by russian troops, the law enforcement officer went to work for the occupants. He began "service" in the "ministry of internal affairs of the donetsk people's republic".

Wearing occupants' uniform and having weapons in his hands, the traitor conducted filtration measures at the checkpoints of the temporarily occupied territory of Mariupol district and near the city of Melitopol. He checked cars and searched for people with pro-Ukrainian views, those who belong to the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine or the Armed Forces of Ukraine and who cooperate with the state authorities of Ukraine.

In addition, the offender willingly gave interviews in support of the occupation regime of russia.

The indictment under Part 2 Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was sent to court.

The accused faces up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Procedural guidance is provided by the Donetsk Region Prosecutor's Office.

The State Bureau of Investigation emphasizes and warns all officials and law enforcement officers against cooperation with russian occupation troops. Severe punishment for such crimes is inevitable.

It should be reminded that in July this year, the State Bureau of Investigation sent to court an indictment for high treason against a colleague of the suspect.
