700 kg of TNT seized by the State Bureau of Investigation from a private enterprise in the Kharkiv region will be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The State Bureau of Investigation will initiate the transfer of 700 kg of TNT to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The SBI employees revealed the explosive substance during an investigation into the illegal sale of TNT by officials of a state-owned enterprise to a private company.
It was established that the buyer company did not have a license for producing, storing, transferring, purchasing or selling firearms, ammunition, or explosive substances.
The employees of the SBI conducted a series of searches and seized more than 8,000 metal cans into which factory staff packed TNT to disguise the explosive substance. The explosives were packed under the guise of non-military goods to ensure the legality of an agreement with merchants.
A pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Article 263 (Unlawful handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and Part 3 of Article 426 (Omissions of military authorities) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing.
The article provides imprisonment for a term of 7 years.
