The SBI director thanked to the EU Advisory Mission for systematic support of the Bureau

Oleksii Sukhachov, the Head of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), expressed gratitude for EUAM's systematic assistance in developing the SBI's institutional and human capacity. He made this statement during a meeting with the Head of the EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform in Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine) Antti Hartikainen.

The SBI Director also highly appreciated the assistance provided by the Mission to ensure the effective functioning of the Bureau under martial law.

Oleksii Sukhachov told EUAM representatives about the specifics of the SBI's activities during the war and the work of the SBI in countering russian aggression.

The parties discussed the results of cooperation between the SBI and EUAM Ukraine over the previous years, in particular within the framework of international technical assistance projects.

The Head of EUAM Ukraine, Antti Hartikainen, also emphasized on the high level of cooperation with the SBI and assured of continued support for the Bureau next year. This assistance will be used to strengthen the SBI's capacity to investigate war crimes and to develop the Bureau in accordance with the best European law enforcement standards.
