The SBI found UAH 4 million of "black cash" of drug dealers, exposed in early October in Dnipropetrovsk region

The SBI employees exposed the "black cash" of drug dealers from Dnipropetrovsk region.

In early October, the SBI officers in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region exposed a massive methamphetamine laboratory.

More than 45 court-sanctioned searches were conducted. More than UAH 4 million in cash was hidden in the apartment of one of the offenders. In addition, the SBI employees found narcotic substances, including hard drugs - methadone and methamphetamine, worth more than UAH 1.5 million at black market prices.

It should be reminded that the drug production on an industrial scale was organized by a local Dnipro resident. He even involved his own wife in drug trafficking. The criminal group set up a special laboratory in the house of one of its members.

The production was "covered" by a local law enforcement officer. He not only covered his accomplices, but also provided the supply of drugs ingredients.

The drug lab produced large amounts of methamphetamine and other drugs. The group members distributed the manufactured "products" using hiding places on the streets.  They found their clients via the Internet.

According to preliminary estimates, the monthly turnover of the illegal laboratory reached UAH 5 million.

Six members of the group, including the organizer, were served a notice of suspicion of participating in a criminal organization and illegal production, storage and sale of drugs (Art. 255 and 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Other offenders are also being identified.

The article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
