The SBI has completed a special investigation against the chief of artillery, who betrayed Ukraine after the seizure of Crimea and is now fighting on the side of the occupiers
The State Bureau of Investigations continues to bring to justice traitors from among the former military who defected to the enemy in 2014 and are now fighting against Ukraine. These crimes have no statute of limitations and inevitably every traitor will be punished.
The SBI employees completed a special investigation against the former chief of artillery of one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, who defected to the enemy in 2014.
The indictment was sent to the court.
After the capture of the military unit by russian occupants, the lieutenant colonel took an oath of allegiance to the aggressor.
Serving the invaders, he facilitated the transfer of the property of the military unit to the units of artillery and the black sea fleet of the russian army. He is currently serving as the chief of artillery of the russian military unit and is fighting against Ukraine.
The former Ukrainian serviceman is charged with high treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 15 years.
Procedural supervision is carried out by the Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the military and defense sphere of the Southern region.
