The SBI completed investigation against law enforcement officer from Luhansk region who at first betrayed Ukraine but later was running away from occupants (VIDEO)
The State Bureau of Investigation continues to bring to justice traitors and collaborators who helped the invaders in the temporarily occupied territories.
The SBI completed the pre-trial investigation against a resident of Luhansk region who cooperated with the occupants, but repented and surrendered to the defenders of Ukraine.
The indictment was sent to court.
It was established that after the occupation of the village in Luhansk region, the law enforcer started to work in the so-called "Melove district department of the ministry of internal affairs of the luhansk people's republic". However, after several months of working for the occupants, he returned to the controlled territory of Ukraine with remorse and disappointment and surrendered to law enforcement authorities.
Currently, the former law enforcer regrets about cooperation with the enemy and urges his "colleagues" to leave the temporarily occupied territory and service in the fake state bodies of the pseudo-republic.
The pre-trial investigation against the former law enforcement officer on the fact of high treason (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is completed.
The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The procedural guidance in the pre-trial investigation is provided by the Luhansk Region Prosecutor's Office.
The State Bureau of Investigation once again emphasizes and warns all officials and law enforcement officers against cooperation with russian occupation troops. Severe punishment for such crimes is inevitable.
Moreover, according to Part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, a person may be released from criminal liability if he/she did not take any actions to execute a criminal task of a foreign state, foreign organization or their representatives and voluntarily declared to the state authorities about his/her connection with them and about the received task.
