The SBI completed investigation against tax officer from Luhansk region who betrayed Ukraine for promotion

A special pre-trial investigation was completed by SBI agents against a former chief auditor-inspector of one of the departments of the State Tax Service in the Luhansk region, who became the head of the occupation structure after the russian invasion of the region.

The indictment was sent to court.

After the russian troops captured Svatove, Luhansk region, the former law enforcer was one of the first who went to work for the occupiers. He actively contributed to the creation and functioning of illegal tax and fee bodies in Svatove, where he headed a department of the so-called "state committee of taxes and fees of luhansk people's republic".

The defendant was in charge of registering businesses and issuing identification numbers in accordance with russian federation law.

The indictment against the former tax officer for committing high treason (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) was sent to court.

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural supervision is carried out by the Luhansk Region Prosecutor's Office.

The State Bureau of Investigation once again emphasizes and warns all officials and law enforcement officers against cooperation with the occupation troops. Severe punishment for such crimes is inevitable.
