SBI completed investigation into traitor from Izyum who encouraged the locals to support invaders
SBI officers completed a pre-trial investigation into a former law enforcer from Izyum, Kharkiv region. After the temporary occupation of the city, she betrayed her oath and helped the occupiers create a local punitive body.
The indictment was sent to court.
After defecting to the enemy, the traitor began serving in the so-called 'people's police'. In particular, the woman was responsible for organising the interaction of the punitive department with other units of the russian occupation administration. She also actively spread russian narratives among local residents and recruited her former colleagues, promising them various positions.
Before the liberation of Izyum, she fled to russia together with the occupiers and some of the traitors.
She will be tried in absentia for high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office is providing procedural guidance in the pre-trial investigation.
Earlier, the SBI completed a pre-trial investigation into a former law enforcement officer from Kupiansk district who also "worked" in the local "people's police".
