The SBI completed the investigation against the head of district inspectors of the occupation police in Vovchansk

The SBI employees completed a special pre-trial investigation against a former Ukrainian law enforcement officer from Vovchansk, Kharkiv region.

The indictment was sent to court.

Just after the invasion's capture of Volchansk, the man began actively assisting them in the creation of a fake police department, agitating Ukrainian law enforcement officers to defect to the enemy. As a result, the occupation administration appointed him "chief of district inspectors" of the Volchansk occupation police.

Additionally, he organized searches of the residents, searched for weapons, conducted "explanatory" work, urging people to assist and support the occupiers in every possible way.

The former law enforcer is charged with high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural supervision is carried out by the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.

Earlier, the SBI submitted to court proceedings against another traitor from Kharkiv region. The former law enforcement officer in Kupiansk was actively assisting the occupants.
