The SBI has completed investigation into former Izyum law enforcement officer who monitored local residents' moods for occupiers

The SBI employees have completed a special pre-trial investigation into a former law enforcer from the city of Izium, Kharkiv region. The occupants used him to quickly receive the information about incidents in the city as well as the mood of the locals.

The indictment has been sent to court.

The former law enforcement officer began to collaborate with the invaders in March 2022. At first, he was appointed to the position of assistant duty officer, and later he was promoted to an operational duty officer in the so-called 'people's police'.

In addition to his work at the police station, the traitor constantly monitored the lives and actions of the residents of Izyum. He immediately reported everything he found out to his superiors and the russian military.

After the town was liberated, the traitor fled to russia.

The former law enforcement officer is charged in absentia with high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office is providing procedural supervision.

Earlier, the SBI had completed an investigation into another traitor from Kharkiv region. The former law enforcer defected to the enemy anf went to work for the occupants' "people's police" in Kupyansk.
