The SBI completed the pre-trial investigation against the so-called "Prosecutor General of the Luhansk People's Republic"

The employees of the SBI have completed the pre-trial investigation against a former law enforcement officer, who took the post of the so-called "Prosecutor General of the Luhansk People's Republic" on the occupied territories of the Luhansk region.

The indictment was sent to the court.

The former law enforcement officer defected to the invaders after the occupation of the part of the Lugansk region by russian troops in 2014.

He began to hold briefings and rewardings of the employees of the so-called "Prosecutor's office of the Luhansk People's Republic" by acting as a "Prosecutor General".

In 2022, the information appeared in the media about the alleged death of the defendant during an explosion in Luhansk, but there is no reliable information about this fact.

He is accused of collaboration (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the Article provides for imprisonment for up to 15 years.

The public prosecution will be maintained by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

It should be reminded, that earlier, based on the materials of the SBI, the "First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Luhansk People's Republic", who illegally brought to justice the captured Ukrainian soldiers, was served notification of suspicion.
