The SBI detained former law enforcer from Kharkiv region, who sold himself to occupants for "thirty silver coins" (VIDEO)

The SBI employees reported suspicion to a former law enforcement officer, who during the temporary occupation of Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region was employed in the regular unit of the occupation police department.

After the capture of Kupiansk district by russian troops, the law enforcer voluntarily began to cooperate with the invaders. The occupation authorities appointed him an "inspector" in early June 2022. The man was paid 45 thousand russian rubles per month to work for the enemy.

After the liberation of Kupiansk district by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the man wanted to escape with the occupiers to russia, but he failed.

The SBI identified his whereabouts and detained him in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Kharkiv region. He was in the attic of one of the houses.

The detainee was served a notice of suspicion of treason (Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment.

The choice of preventive measure in the form of detention is being decided.

The procedural supervision is carried out by the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.

The SBI reminds that every traitor and collaborator will face inevitable punishment.

As a result of the SBI work, the "director" of the Balakliia occupation forestry will be brought to justice.
