The SBI exposed collaborators in Vovchansk and Kupiansk who helped occupants to build dugouts and to patrol cities (VIDEO)

Traitors and collaborators who defected to the enemy side continue to be the subject of increased attention of the SBI employees. Each fact of cooperation with the occupants is systematically processed, and traitors of the Motherland are being brought to justice.

In Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, the SBI detained the chief forester who agreed to cooperate with the invaders during the temporary occupation of the city. He began to manage the forestry and organize timber harvesting for the construction of fortifications and dugouts of the invaders.

After the successful offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the forester began to hide from justice, but he was found and detained. A notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is being prepared.

Also in Vovchansk and Kupiansk, the State Bureau of Investigation in cooperation with the National Police in Kharkiv region exposed two former law enforcers. After the russian invasion to Ukraine, these individuals began to work in the punitive detachments of the occupation police. They conducted searches of the local residents, seized weapons and patrolled the cities.

The former law enforcers were served a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural guidance of the pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.
