The SBI exposed the head of the State Geocadastre of Lviv region on another million-dollar land deal

The SBI exposed the head of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in Lviv Oblast on another million-dollar land deal.

In April 2022, he was served with a notice of suspicion of illegally distributing communal land worth more than UAH 113 million. The investigation revealed other facts of abuse of power by the suspect.

In particular, contrary to the requirements of the law, the official decided to grant 30 land plots of Skole and Turkiv communities with an area of more than 2.7 hectares to citizens. The recreational land was allocated for individual summer cottage construction.

The official caused losses to the state of over UAH 3.8 million.

He was served a notice of suspicion of committing crimes under Part 1, Part 3 of Art. 365 (Abuse of power or authority) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In addition, requests for a custody as a measure of restraint and removal from office were filed with the court.

The work on verification of information on committing similar crimes and receiving bribes from customers who were granted illegal land plot registration permits is ongoing.

Currently, the SBI has already completed the investigation into the criminal proceedings regarding the illegal distribution of municipal land worth more than UAH 113 million by the official. The indictment has been sent to court.
