The SBI exposed the two residents of Sumy region, who were justifying russian aggression and were waiting for the capture of their city

The employees of the SBI, in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, have served notifications of suspicion to an employee of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine from Shostka, Sumy region, and his civilian companion. They were spreading the ideas of russian propaganda throughout messengers and were waiting for the invaders to come.

The investigators established, that the suspects have an active pro-russian position, which they hid in public, but all their dreams about life under russian law they were posting in the closed Internet resources.

In one of those messengers, the rescuer wrote that he was waiting for the soonest possible capture of Kharkov by russian troops, and the other suspect was spreading pro-russian narratives, where the residents of Western part of Ukraine were called followers of fascism.

As a part of the pre-trial investigation, the possible cooperation of the suspects with the special services of the russian federation is also being investigated in order to transfer information about the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region.

The rescuer and the civilian were served notifications of suspicion of justifying the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine (Part 1, 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment of up to 5 years.
