The State Bureau of Investigation has opened more than 1.5 thousand criminal cases on crimes against the National Security
The State Bureau of Investigation continues to expose officials and law enforcement officers who have betrayed their country.
The SBI agents pay specail attention tp crimes against national security. The Bureau's mission is to identify and bring to justice all the traitors, collaborators and diversionists.
An equally important aspect of the investigations is the search for russian property in order to transfer it to the state as well as identification of enemy ammunition arsenals that can be used by our soldiers at the frontline.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the SBI has investigated 1,567 criminal proceedings on crimes against the security of our state.
Among them:
- 1,249 criminal proceedings on high treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
- 250 criminal proceedings on the fact of collaboration (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
- 22 criminal proceedings on aiding and abetting the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and others.
Currently, according to the results of the pre-trial investigation:
- 736 people were served a notice of suspicion,
- 432 people were put on the wanted list,
- 1,261 people are being checked for involvement in high treason and collaboration,
- 401 indictments were sent to court based on these articles.
The largest number of proceedings were initiated in Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Donetsk regions.
