The SBI is grateful for the systematic support provided by the OSCE during the war
The SBI Director Oleksii Sukhachov expressed his profound gratitude for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and its Office in Ukraine's four-year-long support.
He said this during a meeting with Ambassador Henrik Villadsen, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairmanship and Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine.
According to the Bureau's Head, the OSCE's assistance in building the SBI's institutional and human resource capacity, as well as assistance in ensuring effective functioning under martial law, is critical.
Oleksii Sukhachov briefed the guests on the peculiarities of the SBI's activities under martial law, as well as SBI employees' involvement in countering russian aggression against Ukraine.
The parties discussed the outcomes of previous years' cooperation between the SBI and the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, particularly in the context of international technical assistance projects.
Henrik Villadsen, for his part, noted the high level of cooperation with the SBI and assured of continuing a dialogue on planning and coordinating OSCE projects aimed at assisting the SBI this year. In particular, to increase the SBI's capacity to investigate war crimes, as well as to develop the SBI in accordance with the best European law enforcement standards.
