The SBI and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine conducted special operation of evacuation of Ukrainian servicemen from temporarily occupied city

The SBI employees jointly with the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine conducted a special operation and helped two Ukrainian servicemen to return from the temporarily occupied territory to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

The SBI officers found out that two Ukrainian servicemen were in the temporarily occupied city in the East of Ukraine. Both defenders were injured during hostilities in March 2022.

The Bureau's employees found a safe place for the soldiers to stay, organized the provision of everything necessary for treatment and life support until the soldiers recovered.

At the end of September, when the Ukrainian servicemen were able to move independently, an operative combination for their evacuation was developed: vehicles were purchased, the main and reserve routes and the corresponding cover story were developed.

On September 25, the defenders crossed the contact line through the checkpoint and safely returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

The servicemen are being treated for rehabilitation.

In the future, the defenders plan to return to their units to continue military service.

All activities were conducted in close coordination with the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
