The SBI investigates 2.7 thousand criminal cases against National Security of Ukraine, more than 1.2 thousand indictments were sent to the court
The State Bureau of Investigation systematically exposes those who betrayed Ukraine during the war. Within the framework of open proceedings, investigators collect evidence, interrogate witnesses and submit materials to the court to bring the perpetrators to the justice.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the SBI has been investigating 2,712 criminal proceedings regarding crimes against national security, such as:
1,874 proceedings on the facts of high treason (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
659 proceedings on collaboration (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),
46 proceedings on aiding the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and others.
As of the beginning of July:
1,470 people were served notifications of suspicion,
521 people were put on the wanted list,
1,380 people are being checked for involvement in high treason and collaboration,
1,243 indictments were sent to the court.
Among the recent examples of the effective work of the SBI is the real prison sentences for defectors, exposure of fake judges and officials who voluntarily cooperated with the occupation authorities:
In Cherkasy region, the SBI served a notification of suspicion to a soldier, who directed enemy missiles at Ukrainian defenders in four regions
The traitor, who spied on Ukrainian militaries in Zaporizhzhia, will spend 5 years in prison
The SBI served notifications of suspicion to two deputies of the so-called «police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic», as well one of the traitors even became a «general»
The former head of Vovchansk district court was sentenced to 15 years in prison for high treason.
