The SBI continues to expose traitors: investigation against 4 persons is completed
The State Bureau of Investigation continues its systematic work on exposing traitors and collaborators who started working for the enemy during martial law.
The SBI employees completed the pre-trial investigation against 4 former law enforcers from Luhansk region who are working for the enemy.
After the russian capture of a part of Luhansk region, the then law enforcers voluntarily joined the occupants. After passing the interview, the defendants began working in the so-called law enforcement agencies of the "ministry of internal affairs of the luhansk people's republic".
One of the defendants patrolled Starobilsk, others actively helped the occupiers to establish control over the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
All defendants face life imprisonment with confiscation of property for high treason (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The procedural supervision of the pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Luhansk Region Prosecutor's Office.
In total, in Luhansk region alone, in 2022, the SBI officers served 120 persons with notices of suspicion of high treason, and indictments against 36 persons have already been sent to court.
In particular, the SBI officers served suspicion notices to 10 ex-employees of the Starobilsk pre-trial detention center who started working for the occupiers.
The State Bureau of Investigation warns all officials and law enforcement officers against cooperation with the russian occupation forces. Severe punishment for such crimes is inevitable.
