The head of the occupation forestry from Kharkiv region, who supplied the enemy with wood to strengthen firing positions was served a notice of suspicion by the SBI

The SBI officers served a notice of suspicion in absentia to a forester of the Velykoburlutske forestry of the state enterprise Kupianske Forestry. During the seizure of the region by russian troops, he supplied the invaders with timber to strengthen their combat positions.

After seizing part of the Kharkiv region to build fortifications, the invaders started creating occupation forestries on the basis of local forestries.

In particular, after the occupation of the village of Velykyi Burluk, the invaders approached the local forester with a proposal. The latter, without hesitation, decided to work for the occupiers and was appointed head of the forestry.

The traitor provided the russian military with trees for construction and recruited personnel to work in the logging areas.

While the occupiers were building dugouts, he was paid in rubles. When the region was liberated, he fled following his handlers.

The forester is suspected of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the proceedings.

Earlier, the State Bureau of Investigation served notices of suspicion to former employees of the Borivske forestry in Kharkiv region, who also voluntarily cooperated with the occupation authorities.
