The SBI reported suspicion to two collaborators who took leading positions in occupation authorities of Donetsk region

The SBI employees continue to identify individuals in the temporarily occupied territory who are cooperating with the aggressor state. All of them will be held responsible for high treason of the Motherland.

As part of the consistent work, another collaborators were notified of being suspected.

With the operative assistance of police officers of the Department for Protection of Public and State Interests, the SBI officers identified two Ukrainian citizens who agreed to cooperate with representatives of the occupation administration of the aggressor state and illegal armed groups of the so-called "donetsk people's republic".

In March 2022, a native of Donetsk region took the position of the so-called "deputy head of the administration of Volodarskyi district of the donetsk people's republic", and in September, a local resident voluntarily became the so-called "first deputy head of the Pershotravnevyi district administration of the donetsk people's republic".

Collaborators perform duties in these positions and assist the enemy forces in every possible way.

These persons were served a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 5 Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 15 years with confiscation of property.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, investigators continue to identify other persons in the temporarily occupied territory who cooperate with the aggressor state.
