The SBI returned the laser scanning device, which is part of the automated scanning complex, to the military

The SBI returned to the military the components for the automated intelligence complex SN-4003 that had been stolen from them.

Bureau employees found that in 2019, uknown stole and sold the intelligence complex from the 25th Airborne Brigade, which was put into service in 2015.

Based on the documents, the complex has allegedly burned down in June 2019 in a fire in the Luhansk region. However, employees of the Bureau found out that it was stolen from the military unit the day before.

The laser intelligence device, which is the main part of the complex, was seized from an individual who had been keeping it for a long time. At that time the value of the device was more than 550 thousand hryvnias.
Now the device will help to defeat the enemy on the front line.

In the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 Art. 410 (Stealing of military assets committed during the special period) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine the involvement of certain persons in the stealing of the complex is being established, also the actions for finding other military assets that "burned down" during the fire are being undertaken.
