The State Bureau of Investigation and the National Organized Crime Agency of the Czech Republic signed a Memorandum of Understanding

The document was signed by the heads of the agencies Oleksii Sukhachov and Jiří Mazánek.

According to the signed document, the priority tasks include information exchange, analysis, research and other methods of preventing, detecting, suppressing and investigating criminal offences.

It is also planned to exchange best practices in the investigation of crimes and expirience in the use of information technology and other tools that tocombat crime.

The agencies will organise specialised joint training events, exchange of experts and specialists, and hold working meetings, conferences and seminars.

During the meeting, the SBI Director Oleksii Sukhachov thanked his colleague for his courage in coming to the meeting despite the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine.

"I would also like to express my respect and honour to the entire Czech people, the leadership of the republic, all citizens of the country and thank them for the help and support we have felt since the first days of the full-scale invasion," said the director of the SBI.

In his turn, Jiří Mazanek emphasized that he came today to Ukraine along with his colleagues because they have the utmost respect and honour for Ukraine, which is so heroically resisting russian aggression.

"You will always get maximum support from us and our organisation. In particular, in the investigation of russia's crimes in Ukraine," he said.
