The SBI took the case against the former SSU officer of the Crimean department to court
The SBI employees completed a pre-trial investigation of a former officer of the Main Department of Crimea region of the Security Service of Ukraine on suspicion of treason. The bill of indictment was sent to court.
It was established that the former SSU officer in Crimea in 2014 betrayed the military oath and defected to the enemy during the invasion of the peninsula by the occupants. He joined the military service of the Federal Security Service of the russian federation and acted against the sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as against the defense capability, and state and information security of Ukraine.
In his new "position" the traitor organized, controlled, and coordinated the activities of hacker groups. Hackers performed cyber attacks aimed at the illegal intrusion into the work of computers, telecommunication networks of the Ukrainian state authorities, enterprises, institutions, and organizations.
The suspect could face imprisonment of up to fifteen years.
