The SBI will control officials for using the funds allocated for the renovation of the destroyed infrastructure

The SBI in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies will monitor that all officials use the funds allocated for the renovation of the destroyed infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and villages on purpose.

This was stated by the Director of the SBI Oleksii Sukhachov at a joint meeting headed by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andrii Kostin on the prevention of crime in the state under martial law.

According to Oleksii Sukhachov, today the SBI is paying special attention to the use of budgetary funds by officials, especially those aimed at state reconstruction and social programs.

"We will monitor every step of the officials so that the money will be used for reconstruction of the infrastructure, and not go into their pockets", - he emphasized.

The SBI will also increase its efforts to combat and prevent other atrocities, which are urgent during wartime. Oleksii Sukhachov pointed out that documenting russian atrocities on the territory of Ukraine and identifying betrayers and collaborators are an important aspects of Bureau’s
work.

"The State Bureau of Investigation continues to make a significant contribution to the improvement of Ukraine's defense system and protecting citizens from the russian aggression," the SBI Director said.
